What is passion !!!
If I need to explain passion, I will show front cover of book "For the Love for Physics" by Walter Lewin. I recently came across to "For the Love for Physics" book through his lecture posted on YouTube. Without wasting a minute, I immediately order this book.
The quality of the content of Walter Levin book is that once you start reading, you will not able to stop yourself. He is making physics interesting. This book is not a replacement of Resnick Halliday book of physics, but "For the Love of Physics" can inspire you to learn physics with great interest.
Question may be how Walter Lewin is doing so...
Please think about following questions and think how you will verify...
Question 1: Time period of pendulum, does not depend the weight.
Question 2: You are longer when lying down and shorter when standing up.
I am not sure what will be your answer , but i know what Walter Lewin will do...
He him self sits on 15kg metal ball of pendulum and measure time period.
For second question, you try yourself and you will get the answer.
In a nutshell, "For the Love for Physics" is like interacting with Professor Walter Lewin, and doing what he is saying and verify with the things which are available around to us.
This is like sitting with him and listening and doing ourself in our home. this is what "Upnishad" means I.e. "Sit in front of your guru and learn with him".
Nature is a very big experiment lab of physics, he is teaching physics from everything what we are seeing in nature in our daily life.
I find HC Verma "Concept of Physics" book in the same line.
You can read more about him on Internet and his book is also available on commerce platforms like Amazon. My choice is Hard copy first and second choice will be Kindle type E-ink display reader.
